Minutes earlier, the Israeli military had issued a ‘high alert’ nationwide due to intelligence indicating a potential retaliatory attack. Military sources stated they had received intelligence that a retaliatory measure might be taken in response to Israel’s recent deadly attack in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

The southern region of Beirut has long been known as a stronghold for the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah. Various sources have reported casualties from the Israeli attack there. Immediately after the strike, top Iranian officials issued warnings of a strong reaction, cautioning Israel that it would face consequences.

Israel claims its air defense systems—including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow missile defense systems—are attempting to detect and destroy the launched missiles. However, no immediate information regarding damage or casualties has been released.

Meanwhile, official reactions to the attack have begun to emerge from Iran. While news of the attack has been broadcast by the country’s state media, detailed information has not yet been released.

According to analysts, these recent tit-for-tat attacks have further heightened the risk of a wider regional conflict in the Middle East. The involvement of Iran, Israel, Hezbollah, and other regional powers, in particular, could complicate the situation even further.

The international community has already urged both parties to exercise restraint. However, observers believe that with the situation rapidly evolving, the next few hours will be critical for the security situation in the Middle East.
