US Defense Secretary warns Iran, prepared for renewed military action if needed

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has warned that if Iran fails to implement the terms of the agreement, the United States is prepared to launch military operations again and impose strict sanctions.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with NATO defense ministers in Brussels, he stated, “The President has made it clear that if Iran does not act according to its commitments within the stipulated timeframe for negotiations, we will be prepared to take the necessary steps.”

Hegseth further added, “If Iran does not adhere to the agreement, we are fully capable of re-imposing strict and effective sanctions.”

His remarks come at a time when there is extensive international discussion regarding the implementation of the recent understanding between the United States and Iran. According to analysts, Washington’s warning could be part of a strategy to increase pressure on Iran.
