When journalists inquired about the discussions after the meeting, the US Ambassador avoided direct political comments. Instead, he responded in a diplomatic manner, bringing up the topic of the FIFA World Cup.

He stated that the US team had secured a spot in the knockout stage after a crucial victory against Australia in the World Cup last night. Drawing on this, he humorously mentioned that he had requested the Foreign Minister and the people of Bangladesh to support the United States in their upcoming matches.
